Since our self-talk is a direct link to our brain, and since what our brain thinks is recorded, what thoughts will you imprint today? Think of your life as a self-fulfilling prophecy. Become aware of mindfulness practice(s) as often as possible. What you think and what you say to yourself will determine what happens to you. So listen carefully to the words and phrases you say today, and take note each time those words leave your lips.
Many recent national and worldwide tragedies have contributed to our overall state of cultural of dis-ease. These events can leave us feeling the emotional strain. This stress shows up innocuously in our relationship with our self and with those around us. In the subliminal fallout we may not be consciously aware of the words and phrases we are using. But, they can make us feel overwhelmed, exhausted, and stressed out. And, we might inadvertently spread feelings of anger, resentment, or dismay.
The bottom line is that we could all do with a reprieve, and it can start with our own personal decision to find peace. In the presence of individual mindfulness, we all benefit.
